How do I remember to take my pill every day?

Set up your pack in HeySis, and it reminds you at the same time every day. If you don't check it off, it reminds you again up to three more times that day, then stays quiet until tomorrow.

How this works

Choose your schedule from the leaflet, like 21 pill days and 7 days off.
Pick a time and a repeat: every 15 or 30 minutes, or every hour.
Tap “Taken”, or press and hold the notification to check off from the lock screen.

What does pill mode track?

Your pack day, like “Day 10 of 28”, and your marks. Dotted days in the calendar are your break or placebo days, when withdrawal bleeding may come; you log bleeding separately. While it's on, ovulation and fertile-day forecasts are paused. It doesn't suit the mini-pill, and multi-phase packs can have their own rules.

What if I miss a pill?

Anyone can miss a pill. What to do next depends on your pill, how many you missed and the pack day, so check the leaflet or ask a pharmacist. If you had sex without a condom after missing active pills, ask today about emergency contraception: it has to be used within 3 to 5 days. A mark in HeySis helps you remember and can't confirm you're protected.

Common questions

Will my lock screen show that I'm on the pill?

No. The reminder reads like “Open HeySis and check off today” and doesn't say what for.

Why didn't my reminder come?

Check that HeySis notifications are on in iOS Settings and no Focus mode is muting them. Open the app at least once a week so the reminders saved on your phone refresh.

Does the pill protect against STIs?

No. Condoms help protect against STIs, and the pill doesn't.
