Written by the team behind HeySis, one of the apps discussed. This comparison is based on official feature documentation.

HeySis core features will always remain free. Premium is optional and unlocks additional features.

The short answer

For iPhone, try HeySis if your priorities are a quick diary, a free doctor PDF, history import and support from a partner or friends. Compare Flo for educational content, Clue for custom tracking and wearables, and Apple Health for built-in tracking. The best fit depends on your routine, not a universal ranking.

Choose a tracker around the job you need done

A useful period tracker is one you can keep using. Start with the moment that currently goes wrong: forgetting to log a day, reconstructing dates before an appointment, repeatedly explaining your mood to a partner, or losing history when you change apps. The best fit depends on which of these matters most.

  • Daily support, a free doctor PDF and screenshot import: try HeySis on iPhone.
  • Extensive educational content and dedicated tracking experiences: explore Flo.
  • Custom tracking and a broad wearable ecosystem: compare Clue Plus.
  • Cycle tracking already on your Apple device: start with Apple Health.
  • Lunar-themed content and Oura: explore Stardust.
  • A simple overview across Apple devices: compare Cycles.

Why people choose HeySis: the concrete benefits

The saved App Store reviews describe useful routines, not just a pretty calendar. Clara J- logs mood, cramps and flow before bed; Mari_chug values a PDF she can take to a doctor. Several reviewers describe partners responding to shared status with everyday help, and others use reminders to prepare for travel.

These stories point to HeySis’s particular combination: a diary you can fill quickly, ways to reuse what you recorded, and a Circle that connects information with support. They do not establish a clinical accuracy advantage. One positive review explicitly says predictions were not perfect, while still useful for packing for a trip.

What is genuinely free and what needs a subscription

All six options offer basic cycle tracking without a subscription. In HeySis, a doctor PDF, calendar screenshot import and basic Circle invitations/status are also available without Premium. A free AI allowance lets you try the conversation; Premium raises it and adds deeper insights and selected content.

Look at your recurring need before comparing prices. If you only need recorded dates, Apple Health may be enough. If you need a particular wearable integration, a custom category or an expert course, check the exact paid plan. A low annual price is not a bargain for a feature you will not use. Annual equivalents in the table are calculations: the full year is paid upfront.

Privacy and AI: questions to ask before enabling them

Separate the diary from the online services around it. HeySis stores diary entries on the device by default, but AI replies, optional sync and Circle use the network. Read what context goes to the AI provider, what a sharing recipient sees and how deletion works. Flo has Anonymous Mode; Clue publishes data-protection commitments; Apple has Health sharing and encryption controls.

An assistant is not exclusive to HeySis. Flo documents Health Assistant and Clue documents a limited Chat With Your Data beta. Test whether the available experience fits your language and questions. A friendly response is not a diagnosis, and period predictions should not be used as contraception.

A practical trial before moving your history

  1. Check device compatibility and the price after any offer ends.
  2. Log a real day: add only the symptoms and mood details you normally need.
  3. Correct one date and find a previous entry to see whether the navigation feels natural.
  4. Preview a report or sharing screen if that is the reason you chose the app.
  5. Review privacy permissions, then import a small portion of history and compare the dates.

HeySis recognizes logged period days from screenshots, up to four images at a time, on the iPhone. Apple Health is a separate route for supported records already there. Keep your original archive until you have checked the transfer. Our switching guide explains the limits and steps.
