Where each tracker has an advantage
Apple Health is a strong starting point when you want a calendar and PDF report with no extra subscription. HeySis adds a dedicated conversational diary and screenshot import; try those features before deciding whether Premium is useful to you.
What HeySis adds to the iPhone’s built-in tracker
Apple Health is a sensible starting point if you mainly want to record period dates and symptoms. HeySis adds a dedicated daily diary experience, an AI conversation, calendar screenshot import and Circle for support from chosen people. Those additions are worth trying when they solve a recurring problem in your day.
A paid subscription is not required simply because you install HeySis. Logging, a doctor PDF and basic Circle access are free. Premium increases AI access and adds deeper insights and selected content. If Apple’s existing tools already cover your needs, there is no need to subscribe to another tracker just to collect the same dates.
Both apps have a free cycle PDF
Apple documents export of the last 12 months of cycle history or a selected cycle. HeySis assembles up to six recent cycles with symptom timing and a recent diary overview, excluding AI chats. Compare the actual contents you want to discuss at your appointment, rather than choosing on the mere presence of a PDF button.
The HeySis report is generated on the phone and shared by your choice. Review the document first: a health diary can contain intimate details. A report is a way to bring recorded observations to a professional, not an automatic medical assessment.
Circle is about everyday support
Apple offers permission-based Health sharing. HeySis Circle puts the experience in a daily social context: select what to share, let a partner or friends see basic status, and use the available support features. It is not a reason to expose your entire diary.
In the reviews below, one person describes staying connected in a long-distance relationship; another gives the concrete example of a husband offering to cook after seeing her status. These experiences explain why someone might choose a separate app even when basic tracking is already built into their phone.
Use HeySis and Apple Health together
You can import supported records already in Health after granting read permission. If your history exists only as a calendar in another app, HeySis can instead recognize logged period days from screenshots. These are separate routes; screenshots do not carry every symptom or note.
Writing period flow and selected symptoms back to Health is enabled separately. HeySis does not write personal notes or AI chats into Health. Check the categories you authorize and review records after import. Connecting Health does not automatically turn on cloud sync or share anything with Circle.
Hardware, privacy and the choice to pay
Apple’s cycle features can use supported Apple Watch data, with hardware and regional conditions. Consider that ecosystem if wearable-assisted tracking matters. HeySis currently requires iPhone with iOS 26 or later; check compatibility before planning a switch.
For HeySis, the diary is local by default, while AI, optional sync and Circle use online services. Apple describes its own Health encryption and sharing controls in its privacy documentation. Keep those actual settings in view. Try HeySis’s free workflow first, then consider $5.99 monthly or $24.99 annually only for the Premium extras you want.
