Where each tracker has an advantage
Choose HeySis for a free doctor report, on-device screenshot import and a conversational diary. Flo may fit better if you want its expert courses and established cycle, fertility and pregnancy content.
Why someone would choose HeySis over Flo
The clearest reasons are practical: bring old period dates into a new calendar, create a doctor PDF without upgrading, and share a small daily status with a partner or friends. HeySis puts these alongside a local diary and an AI conversation. You do not have to subscribe just to start logging or prepare the report.
The reviews below put those features in context. Mari_chug specifically valued the doctor PDF and phase-based reading. A US reviewer describes sharing that she feels overwhelmed so her boyfriend can offer help. These are reasons to try the workflow, rather than proof that everyone will have the same experience.
A doctor report: what you get without Premium
HeySis creates a PDF on the iPhone from up to six recent cycles, symptom timing and a recent diary overview. It can help answer a practical question at an appointment: what happened and when? Preview it before sharing, because recorded personal details may be included; AI conversations are excluded.
Flo also offers an iOS doctor report as a Premium feature. The difference is access and report format, not whether Flo has a report at all. If preparing for an appointment is your main goal, start with HeySis’s free report and check whether it contains the records you need.
Circle and Flo for Partners: daily support
HeySis Circle connects cycle tracking with everyday communication. Choose what a partner or friends can see, then use a basic status to put today’s mood into context. Invitations and basic status are free; deeper member insights and selected interactions require Premium. Invited companions do not need their own paid subscription to join.
Flo for Partners also has free basic access, with additional partner content under Premium. Both can help a couple discuss the cycle. HeySis may fit when you also want to include friends: the saved reviews include a long-distance couple and a user connected with two friends. Before sharing, review the actual recipient view and permissions.
Screenshot import makes switching more manageable
In HeySis, select up to four screenshots with clearly visible month and year labels. The iPhone recognizes logged period days; review the result against the old calendar. Symptoms, notes and predicted days are not all transferred. This is especially useful when your old history is visible in a calendar but has not been written to Apple Health.
If compatible records already exist in Health, use that separate import route. Existing filled HeySis entries take priority. A Flo export is useful for keeping your own archive, but it is not a file you can directly upload to HeySis. Follow the import guide before deleting anything.
AI, privacy and where Flo has strengths
HeySis offers questions in your own words with cycle context. Online answers need consent, and Premium increases the free message allowance. Flo documents its Health Assistant too, so an assistant alone is not the distinction. Compare the usefulness of the conversation and the subscription access you actually get.
HeySis keeps the diary on the phone by default, with separate online AI, sync and Circle choices. Flo emphasizes Anonymous Mode and its published privacy certifications. Those are different approaches to examine in the Flo privacy portal and HeySis policy. Flo’s extensive educational material and dedicated cycle, conception and pregnancy experiences may be the deciding advantage for you; HeySis also includes pregnancy tracking.
What to check before paying
Try a free HeySis routine: enter one day, preview the report and check the Circle permissions. Then decide whether you need more AI messages and premium insights. US Premium is $24.99 per year or $5.99 monthly.
For Flo, compare your actual monthly or annual offer, including its renewal price. Its public US in-app purchase list contains amounts without billing periods, so presenting one of them as a universal annual price would be misleading. An introductory discount should be compared with another introductory offer, not with a different app’s regular renewal.
